Volunteer Of the Month - May 2025

Volunteer of the Month for May - Emmy Sauter!

Emmy Sauter has been part of the SHEW family since she was just 8 years old.

As a child, she was completely devoted to all things horse-related. Emmy and her mom, Mary, spent countless hours each week helping care for the horses, and Emmy participated in the lesson program as well.

As the years passed and Emmy grew, so did her passion for horses.  She climbed the competitive ladder, earning blue ribbons first with Butterball, then Diego, and finally her very own adopted horse, Chino.

Now, more than 20 years later, Emmy is grown, married, and a mom to little Hannah.  Despite the responsibilities of adulthood, she continues to serve as our lead every Sunday morning and volunteers at nearly every event.

Emmy embodies the true essence of dedication and passion for the SHEW mission.

Thank you, Emmy, for two decades of service!
